Biography:
Carnage is a Marvel Comics supervillain, an offshoot of the Venom symbiote. He is most closely associated with Spider-Man and Venom as one of their most dangerous foes.
Carnage's origin begins with Cletus Kasady, a serial killer. When Eddie Brock (Venom's host) becomes Kasady's cellmate, the Venom symbiote's offspring merges with Kasady, creating Carnage. This new symbiote amplifies Kasady's psychotic tendencies, resulting in a far more violent and unpredictable being than Venom.
Carnage first appeared in *The Amazing Spider-Man* #360 (1992). He distinguishes himself from Venom through his red and black coloration and his ability to form bladed weapons and projectiles from his symbiote.
